World War 2 Artefacts

20th June 2013

Classes 3 and 4 have had the experience of using their senses to explore World War II artefacts.  A gentleman from the Farmland & Denny Abbey Museum outreach team came and visited Class 3 and 4 to bring their World War II learning to life!  The children got to explore different artefacts such as gas masks, suitcases, torches, bike lamps, ration books, identity cards, protective hats and many more items.  They had to guess what the items were, explain what they might have been used for and then discuss how these items changed the lives of children living in Britain at this time.   Have a look at some of the pictures in the gallery to see what a great experience it was!
