Storytelling Bazaar at Melbourn Village College

19th March 2014

Class 4 enjoyed the finale to their storytelling lessons by taking part in a Storytelling Bazaar at Melbourn Village College on Tuesday 18th March.  Over 200 primary school children from local primary schools set up a bazaar on the front lawns of MVC.  The class spent the morning sharing their own stories to other children.  They used their props, actions and lots of enthusiasm to deliver stories about Mythical Creatures, princesses and even chickens that talk! It was a successful event that was set up by Chip the Storyteller, after his visits to the schools, where he taught the children how to tell stories without prompts and to make them fun and engaging. Class 4 then spent the afternoon listening to stories and then enjoying a French Cafe, which the pupils at MVC set up.  They were encouraged to use French too and enjoyed their pain au chocolate and juice too.  A fun day was had by all.  Please look at the pictures in the gallery to see the Storytelling Bazaar.
