Values Week - Day 2

30th January 2018
Tuesday 30th January saw plenty of care, determination and teamwork. Children in Key Stage 1 and Early Years had to design bridges and towers to solve particular challenges from a range of modelling materials. Children in Key Stage 2 undertook the Paper Bag Challenge.
This activity recreates 20 minutes in the life of street children in Kolcata in India. For very little money, these children make paper bags, 10 hours per day, every day. If they don't make enough money - they don't eat. Teams of four children in Classes 3 and 4 tried to make as many paper bags as possible in twenty minutes - but could they make enough - of good enough quality - to raise enough money to live by? And what if the rules of the game change suddenly?
