The Governing Board

Welcome to Fowlmere Primary School.

As a Governing Board we work alongside the school’s senior leadership team to create and deliver clear, ambitious vision and strategy for school improvement.  We ensure that the legal obligations of the school are fulfilled and we provide accountability and oversight; making sure that money is well spent and that a good education is provided to the pupils.

There is a total of 10 seats on the Governing board: 3 parent governors, 1 staff governor, 1 LA governor, 4 Co-opted governors and the Headteacher.  The information below gives a brief description of the background and skills of our current Governing board.

All communications with the Governing Board should be sent via the school office office@fowlmere.cambs.sch.uk and marked 'for the attention of the Chair of Governors'. The clerk to Governors may be copied in: lisa.white@cambridgeshire.gov.uk

I’ve worked in education policy and leadership across both the US and the UK, and am passionate about helping schools build strong, inclusive systems where all children have the opportunity to thrive.
In the US, I focused on supporting school improvement and transformation, developing monitoring approaches, and working directly with over 80 primary and secondary schools facing complex challenges—collaborating closely with local authorities and state education departments. Since moving to the UK 10 years ago, my work has included leading an early years initiative across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough while working at Cambridgeshire County Council and overseeing delivery of one of the strands of the National Tutoring Programme for the Department for Education. I also served as a parent governor at my son’s South Cambridgeshire primary school.
I hold a Master’s degree from the Harvard Graduate School of Education and a Master in Public Administration from University College London.
