Class 2 at the Raptor Foundation

22nd November 2018
On 22nd November, Class 2 visited the Raptor Foundation as part of this half-term’s project Paws, Claws and Whiskers. They were treated to a lot of handling opportunities: a bearded dragon, tortoises, snakes, cockroaches and even two beautiful owls. Unbelievably, almost everyone gave the cockroaches a stroke and some even held them in their hands!

They explored the different bones they could find in an owl pellet and, perhaps best of all, witnessed at least five different birds of prey in a flying display in the ‘hangar’. Here the birds swooped down over everyone’s heads – it was amazing.
